Targetskin is an innovative app that is transforming dermatology through Artificial Intelligence. Through the training of an algorithm in computer vision and machine learning, it is possible to immediately differentiate between dangerous and non-dangerous patient injuries.
TEAM
Skin cancer is one of the most common and dangerous cancers in the world. Early detection of skin cancer is crucial because it allows for more effective treatment and reduces the chance of the cancer spreading to other parts of the body. Cure rates are significantly higher when skin cancer is identified and treated in the early stages
PRODUCT DISCOVERY
Characteristics of users in the medical sector were identified and defined. Interfaces and user experiences were created that highlight the main function of the app, that is, implementing computer vision to help and automate decision making when defining whether or not there is damage to the patient’s skin.
PRODUCT DESIGN
A design was created that accompanies the logic and visual aesthetics of the digital product. Common design patterns were identified that allow an understanding of the brand when providing the specific dermatological care and consulting service.
QA & User Testing
With the aim of fixing bugs, ensuring the functionality and usability of the application, and ensuring a satisfactory user experience before launch. Progress was made in detecting potential technical and design problems that could affect the performance and acceptance of the final product.
The development time was 4 months and a methodology was used SCRUM, which allowed joint progress between the various parts of the development and its adequate communication to the client purposes of obtaining different types of feedback regarding functionalities and styles.
